Jim Jordan (R-OH).One witness said, “if Mr. Bragg would lock people up, it would save a lot headaches in New York City and save lives.”Jordan added, “the president of NYPD Detectives Endowment Association said ‘Bragg gives criminals the road map to freedom from prosecution and control of ours streets.’”New York Congressman Jerry Nadler pushed back on Republican's claims.“Under the leadership of Mayor Adams and District Attorney Bragg, over the last year crime in Manhattan has dropped in nearly every ma...

They knew the drill.Jared Bednar had called a team meeting last spring when the Avalanche landed in St. Louis after a demoralizing Game 5 loss. With an off day in the late stages of a tense second-round playoff series, the coach wanted to check on his team’s headspace.“We didn’t want a repeat of Vegas,” he told The Post.A year earlier, the Avalanche coughed up a 2-0 series lead to the Golden Knights — their third consecutive year getting eliminated in the second round. So when they started to show cracks in the armor with a two-game lead over the Blues, memories came flooding back. The Avs led a potential close-out Game 5 at home in the final minute. It was the closest they had come in Bednar’s tenure to exorcising the second-round demons. Flying back to St. Louis for Game 6 felt as far as they’d been.“He really wanted us to get over that hump,” forward Andrew Cogliano recalled...
